RHM Donair & Subs is seeking 2 full-time food counter attendants for our store in Port Alberni, BC on Vancouver Island. As a member of our operations team, you will work in coordination with delivery drivers, line cooks, supervisors, and the management team in the effective operation of our store. The positions are for evening and late-night shifts into the next morning. Following are your responsibilities and duties: • Greet our walking customers promptly, answer customer questions about menu items, and assist them with their orders. • Use our Point-of-Sale system to take customer orders by phone, online, or in person. • Handle cash transactions, and reward transactions, and execute in-store promotions based on current promos. • Provide complete food orders to 3rd party couriers based on their order number. • Re-stock front pop coolers, and takeout serving areas with napkins, plasticware, and other condiments. • Keep the front counter and general storefront clean of any debris or leftovers. • Prepare take-out salads, dips, and other quick servings or side items. • Follow opening and closing checklists for the front area depending on your shift. Employment Requirements: • Secondary education will be a great asset but not a requirement. • Experience is an asset, but not necessary as on-the-job training will be provided. • Food safe certificate an asset. • Must be willing to work late night/early mornings, weekdays, and weekends. • Must be willing to work under pressure and fast-paced environment during peak service periods. • Must be a team player. • Candidate must be able to communicate in English.
