We are looking for an experienced and compassionate caregiver in Thornhill, ON. Job requirements: • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience working with seniors or with people with disabilities • Secondary school diploma required • First AID/ CPR certification preferred • Patience, compassion, and sensitivity to elderly people and people with special needs • Demonstrate a high level of responsibility and organizational skills • Availability for occasional overtime • Weight handling: 45-60 kg (100-132 lbs) Job duties: • Administer medications • Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene • Assist in regular exercise, e.g. walk • Feed or assist in feeding • Launder clothing and household linens • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties • Plan therapeutic diets and menus • Provide companionship • Provide personal care • Shop for food and household supplies • Prepare and serve nutritious meals Language Requirements: English Work Setting: Work takes place in the Employer`s home. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis; (Note: This is NOT a condition of employment). Hourly rate: $21.00. Working Hours: 30 hours per week Overtime rate: $31.50 paid after 44 hours per week Indigenous people and Newcomers to Canada are encouraged to apply.
