Mandate: Reporting to the department Manager, the Freight Supervisor will help Delmar grow trade lanes between clients in Korea and Canada. The candidate will also assist with sales growth while maintaining the current customer base, ensuring client satisfaction. This role also falls under operational support. Responsibilities: • Grow LCL consolidation services between Korea and Canada. • Distribute work to team members and arrange meetings for any questions/updates. • Identify and resolve freight-related problems/complaints. Perform corrective measures and implement process improvements. • Train employees on freight import processes and adapt to organizational changes. • Stay compliant in accordance with policies and procedures regarding safety, standards, and regulations of CIFFA and participate in their improvement. • Based on business needs, perform associate-level tasks such as invoicing customers, issuing manifests to customs brokers, tracking shipments, posting payables from local and overseas vendors to Delmar’s system(s) and tracking and tracing shipments with rail companies. • Obtain office supplies/materials and equipment. • Maintain smooth operation of devices, computer systems/software and other work-related equipment. Arrange for maintenance on the above items as needed. • Assist with spearheading and supervising current business as relations manager to drive sales growth with current Korean customers. • Develop new client relationships within the Korean community. • Other duties, as assigned.
