To support our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. Position: Bookkeeper Company: Northern Lights Bait Co Ltd Location: Manitoba, The Pas Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments, into the company's accounting system. Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing. Process payroll, including calculating employee wages, taxes, and deductions. Prepare and distribute invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments. Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for management review. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and analysis. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, laws, and regulations. Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for financial records and documentation. Skills & Qualifications Min 1 year Expereince as Bookkeeper or similar role. Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and professionalism. Experience in the fishing or outdoor industry (preferred, but not required).
