Sechelt Suncoast Guardian currently has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team! We are seeking a motivated individual with 1+ year of pharmacy assistant experience, but we’re also open to training the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This role also offers opportunities for growth within the company based on performance. Starting wage will be based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Excellent customer service skills are required, greet customers promptly and gather prescriptions to be handed out Answer telephone, ensuring that appropriate telephone etiquette is used at all times and handling customer inquiries Enter repeat prescription orders Manage incoming faxes Data entry for new prescriptions Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws Requirements Attention to details and willingness to work with the public. 1 year of previous Pharmacy Assistant experience Confidentiality and privacy required at all times. Ability to effectively communicate with the public at large, potentially overcome language barriers while demonstrating genuine care and concern. Experience with Nexxsys/Propel software is preferred. High School Diploma required Work Conditions Manual dexterity required. Interacts with employees, management and the public at large.
