ESW BUILDING SERVICES INC located at 5250 Solar Dr suite 31Mississauga, ONL4W 5M8 Mississauga, ON is looking for Drywall Installers and Finishers to join our team Job details Salary $42.50 hourly / 40 hours per Week Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time Day, Morning, Overtime Required Start date: Starts as soon as possible Vacancies 3 vacancies Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience 3 years to less than 5 years Work site environment At heights Dusty Noisy Work setting Commercial Institutional Residential Urban area Various locations Responsibilities Instruct apprentices Supervise other workers Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster Clean and prepare surfaces Cure freshly plastered surfaces Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools Prepare wall and ceiling layouts Utilize laser alignment system Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Handling heavy loads Large workload Manual dexterity Overtime required Physically demanding Repetitive tasks Sound discrimination Standing for extended periods Tight deadlines Walking Work under pressure Weight handling Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Own tools/equipment Hard hat Mask Safety glasses/goggles Steel-toed safety boots Benefits Other benefits Free parking available Employment groups We promote equal employment opportunities for all job applicants, including those self-identifying as a member of these groups: Indigenous people, Persons with disabilities, Newcomers to Canada, Older workers, Veterans, Visible minorities, Youth Who can apply to this job?
