Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Barbering Trade Certification
Experience: 1 to less than 2 years of experience
Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player, efficient interpersonal skills, client focus, dependability
Tasks: Analyze hair and scalp condition; Provide custom hair and scalp treatment; Shampoo customers' hair; Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair; Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair; Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences
Work Setting: Barbershop, urban area
Work Site Environment: Noisy, odours
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, risks of slip and fall injuries, use of electrical tools, use of sharp objects, use of chemical products.
