Responsibilities
Tasks
· Install, repair, or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
· Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials such as modified bitumen, elastomeric, or other asphaltic membranes.
· Install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
· Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
· Install sheet metal flashings around joints, valleys, vents, and chimneys to prevent water penetration.
· Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces above or below ground level.
· Set up scaffolding, ladders, and fall-protection equipment to provide safe access to roofs.
