17181418 CANADA INC. dba IN’S KITCHEN in Ottawa, ON seeks a Permanent and F/T FIRST COOK.

Duties:

• Prepare and cook individual Asian and Fusion hot food menus and dishes.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements and cost.
• Prepare and make sauces for cooking.
• Improve and suggest menu items.
• Determine the size of food portions and costs.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies.
• Manage kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers.
• Recruit and hire staff.

Requirements:
Completion of Secondary school
2~3 years of work experience in commercial cooking
$36 per hour based on 30~40 hours/week
Proficiency in English
