Job Description
MAISON MORI BAKERY LTD. dba Maison Mori in Burnaby, BC seeks to hire a Permanent and F/T HEAD BAKER.
The HEAD BAKER will be expected to perform the following duties;
- Create new recipes and adapt existing recipes to meet customer preferences and menu requirements.
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Bake mixed doughs and batters.
- Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods.
- Oversee daily production to ensure efficient and timely production of baked goods.
- Manage inventory and supplies.
- Order ingredients, maintain adequate stock levels, and minimize waste.
- Hire, train, and supervise bakers to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain product standards, adhere to safety regulations, and address any quality issues.
- Work with management on menu planning, cost control, and overall bakery operations.
- Ensure the bakery is clean and safe for staff and customers.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new techniques and products.

Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School
2~3 years work experience in commercial baking
Basic in English
$36.60 per hour based on 30 hours to 40 hours per week
