A Kelowna-based family is presently seeking an experienced Nanny to care for their 10-month old daughter. The position is expected to commence as soon as possible, and ideal work hours would be 8AM to 3PM, Monday to Friday. Childcare will take place in the employer's home; but working on a live-in basis is not a condition of employment. Must be a loving, calm, patient, understanding, and self-motivated person. Compensation: $15.00 per hour
Work hours: 35 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of vacation pay

 
 
Job Duties
 

Supervise the child in the absence of parents
Provide customized and personalized childcare for the child in home
Administer one-on-one care and meets the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the child.
Bathe, dress the child; prepare and feed nutritious meals.
Oversee the child's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer
Keep the child in personal hygiene and social development; and keep the child's areas neat and tidy and does the child's laundry.
Maintain records of a child's daily activities and health information.
Sterilize bottles, utensils, prepare formulas and change diapers for the child.
Maintain a safe, caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which the child thrives and develops.
Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents
Maintain a healthy environment in the home
Tend to the emotional well-being of the child
Transports the child to and from activities, grocery shops for the child, and plans the child's daily schedule.
May include additional household tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, housekeeping, and laundry.

Requirements
 

Secondary school graduation is required
Completion of 6 months caregiver training program in childcare (or) At least 7 months to less than 1 year of childcare or related experience is strongly desired.
Driving experience is also desired.
Criminal Record Check and CPR/First Aid is an asset.
