Freshouse Foods is a privately owned company operating with two facilities in Southern Ontario. With over 60 years of major retail and food-service experience, our expertise in product development has enabled the company to react swiftly to customer wants and expectations. We are now looking for three butchers whose duties and responsibilities are as follows: Job responsibilities: -Cleans, cuts, weighs, packages and labels meat for sale; -Provides outstanding customer service: assists guests in selecting products and shares knowledge of preparation and cooking techniques; -Stocks counter neatly, accurately and in a timely manner as per pricing menu; -Maintains a clean, organized and sanitary station according to the food safety department; -Orders and monitors inventory for the department; -Supervises, trains and motivates the team to increase sales, standards and efficiencies; -Distributes supplies throughout retail counter and ensures supplies are being utilized properly; Qualifications: -Completion of High School (Preferred); -1-2+ years of experience working with meat, preferably in a high-volume retail environment; -Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule sometimes including evenings weekends and holidays; -Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods of time; -Attention to detail and work well with others; -Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently. The National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination may be required after six years of combined study and experience. Certification by a provincial institute or association is required to use the designation Interior Design Consultant (IDC) in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
