Job Title: Home Support Worker

Terms of Employment: Full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week

Language: English

Compensation: $20.00 per hour, Overtime paid at $30.00 per hour after 44 hours of work per week, Bonuses may be paid at employer’s discretion, 10 days paid vacation per year

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer medication;
• Assist with eating, washing, getting dressed, walking/wheelchair, exercising;
• Full-time companionship throughout the day;
• Monitor blood pressure/vitals,
• Update family members on care/status;
• Liasing with nurses/administrators/doctors;
• Routine health-related duties;


Job Requirements:

● Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
● Minimum 1 year experience as caregiver to elderly clients
● Gentle temperament and exceptional patience to provide care and compassion for elderly client with slight cognitive impairment
● Experience following direction regarding medication
● Physical capacity sufficient to manage care of elderly client, daily housework and moderate supportive lifting of elderly client (weighing approximately 145lbs)
