Job Description

PMFI Enterprises Inc. located at 7650 Kimbel Street Unit #23 Mississauga Ontario, L5S-1L2, is looking for a Production General Manager for a salary of $52.65 per hour (or Salary: $109,512.00 per annum); based on 40.0 hours per week.

PMFI designs and manufactures modern and luxurious firepits and outdoor fireplaces in homes, hotels, restaurants, and residential projects all over the world.

Qualifications;
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in manufacturing management
• Prior experience of managing in manufacturing, equipment, maintenance and/or quality control
• Working knowledge of the principles of operational and manufacturing management
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement
• Working knowledge of basic elements of Good Manufacturing Practices in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of key business drivers used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier
• Effective interpersonal skills for building relationships with team members at all levels
• Demonstrated organization skills and proven attention to detail/accuracy
• Positive, reliable and hard-working attitude
• Leadership skills and initiative
• Must be familiar with, and adapt to using technology – operating in an Apple environment is a plus
• Bachelor degree in engineering, business or related field


Job Duties;
• Developing efficiency strategies where observable
• Supervising the manufacturing team and supporting an environment of shared excellence
• Establishing, maintaining and improving manufacturing systems and ensuring compliance
• Policy creation, implementation and compliance adhering to company philosophy.
• Hiring, training, motivating, disciplining and termination of employees, where required
• Ensuring that all products and their presentation meet our standards for quality
• Planning manufacturing - creating a manufacturing schedule
• Setting and communicating realistic manufacturing timelines ensuring:
- manufacturing deadlines are always met
- manufacturing activities are documented
- inventory and materials are tracked and managed
• Liaising with the CSO and other key stakeholders: Ensuring understanding and clarity
• Meeting with board to discuss manufacturing activities within the context of the overall business plan:
- Annual budgets: Establish and implement, with quarterly reporting
- Develop efficiencies within our operational environment: Processes & Equipment
• Implementing and practising preventative maintenance
• Present future opportunities accommodating budgets and timelines
• Metal Fabrication - Greenfield vs Brownfield with cost benefit analysis:
- Work with project manager to source equipment for fabrication, sand-blasting and
- powder-coating
- Establish timelines for acquisition
- Shortlist new locations for metal fabrication facility accommodating manufacturing and
- logistical efficiency
- Create budgets accommodating Human Resources(HR), Capital Expenditure(CAPEX) and Operating Expenditure(OPEX)
