Responsibilities
Tasks:
- As a Cook at the Langley location of Chevron gas station, you are required to skillfully prepare and cook a variety of quick-serve dishes including burgers, fries, sandwiches, chicken popcorn, taters, pizza etc., consistent with the store's menu, ensuring each item is crafted to meet the high standards expected by customers.
- You will be contributing insights and suggestions for menu development to keep the food offerings innovative and appealing, in line with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- You are expected to oversee kitchen inventory, responsibly ordering kitchen supplies, and ensuring the freshness and proper stock levels of ingredients to avoid waste and shortages.
- Ensuring the kitchen area remains clean and sanitary, rigorously following health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe eating and working environment.
- As a Cook, you will be strictly adhering to food safety regulations during the handling, preparing, and storing of food, diligently managing potential health hazards.
- You are required to provide excellent customer service, engaging with customers to take orders, and offering recommendations with a friendly and efficient manner.
- The Cook will be coordinating smoothly with the convenience store staff, aiding in seamless operations, particularly during peak times, and providing cross-functional support as necessary.
- Actively responding to and implementing customer feedback to refine the culinary experience and ensure satisfaction with the store’s food offerings.
- The Cook will be managing kitchen operations with dexterity, ensuring prompt preparation and delivery of food, especially during busy hours, to minimize customer wait times.
