India chaat house brings the taste and experience of Indian street food to the pier of white rock in its entirety, with traditional flavours and all the flair. The cooking and energy at India Chaat house bring the flavours that we miss from our hometown to our new home to share.
Currently, we are searching for a Chef to join our team. This role involves preparing and cooking a wide variety of foods for restaurant guests.

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Additional Skills: Hands-on experience in using various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers), Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
Specific Skills:
· Planning and Setting up menus
· Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
· Ensuring food quality and taste are of the highest standard
· Prepare and cook food on a regular basis
· Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
· Inform wait staff about daily specials
· Ensure appealing plate presentation
· Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers and assist as needed
· Instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
· Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs, food allergies or intolerances and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
· Managing inventory of food stock and ordering raw materials
· Controlling budgets and minimizing wastage
· Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
· Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
