Song's Korean Restaurant is looking for a Cook, Ethnic Foods (Korean Cuisine) (permanent/full time position)

Employment start date: As soon as possible
Key duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare traditional style Korean dishes and side dishes from the menu
Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
Check the quality of raw and cooked products
Store ingredients and raw materials on proper temperature
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Plan menus, and determine size of food portions
Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications:
Secondary school graduation certificate required
Several years of previous experience in commercial cooking industry required
Work conditions and physical capabilities
Fast paced environment, Work under pressure, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Standing for extended period of time, Attention to details, Repetitive tasks
Wage
Salary: $13 per hour for 35 hours a week at 52 weeks a year
Flexible Working Hours
Day, Afternoon, Evening, Night, Weekends
Benefits:
Vacation: 10 days paid vacation or 4% remuneration of total gross salary
